Join us in embracing the spirit of local this festive season! Rather than Cyber Monday, participate in Cider Monday (yes, you read that right!). On Monday, December 2, our Board of Directors will be stationed outside, offering complimentary glasses of Champlain Orchard Apple Cider, along with mugs of warm cider while the supply lasts!

Welcome, George Tremblay, to Monadnock Food Co-op'

Welcome, George Tremblay, to Monadnock Food Co-op's Board of Directors!

Who is George?
George has been appointed to the BOD for one year to fill a mid-term vacancy left by a former Board member who elected to leave due to personal scheduling changes.

George is a Monadnock Region resident and has been a Member-Owner longer than there has been a physical store! He works in psychology and most recently lent his expertise to Keene State College. George is passionate about building local communities and finding joy and deep friendships in the people you surround yourself with.

George had expressed interest in running for the board, and the one-year appointment provided him with the opportunity to experience board work before committing to a three-year term.

How is an appointee decided?
Potential candidates for appointment are those who have already met the criteria to run for a seat in a normal election cycle. This means the nominating committee has presented them as potential candidates, they're fully vested, active Member-Owners, and they've attended at least one Board meeting.

The Board of Directors is ecstatic to have George on the board and looks forward to working with him over the coming months!

The seat will be open for Member-Owner vote in the 2025 Annual Election.
