Established in 2012, Vera Flora Farm is a small-scale specialty cut flower farm and design studio located in a magical, sunny hollow in rural southwestern, New Hampshire (aka Gilsum). Sarah Barkhouse and Vanessa Helgerson run this family business and grow over a hundred different varieties of flowers on three-quarters of an acre using only organic and low to no-till farming practices.

Through all steps of the growing process, protecting the soil and water used for the farm is paramount — from watering and composting to muching and harvesting.

Sarah has been growing and arranging flowers organically in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire since 2007.  She has provided flowers for hundreds of weddings and events here in New Hampshire and beyond. And you’ll find her fresh-cut bouquets from May – October throughout the co-op.
