Throughout the month of May, the Monadnock Food Co-op is proud to spotlight and support the Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition’s (MFCC) Locals’ Local Fund through our Round It Up Donation Drive.

The Locals’ Local Fund is a unique and impactful initiative that strengthens both our local food system and food access in the Monadnock Region. Donations to this fund directly support The Community Kitchen’s Mobile Food Pantry Program, which travels to rural areas to provide fresh, healthy food to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Here’s what makes this program truly special: instead of relying solely on donated or surplus items, the Mobile Pantry uses the Locals’ Local Fund to purchase fresh, locally grown food from Monadnock-area farms. It’s a powerful cycle of community investment—farmers thrive, and neighbors gain access to the kind of nutritious, regionally grown food that everyone deserves.
