One of our favorite times of the year, August means it’s time to celebrate NH Eats Local Month. We hope to inspire you to eat more locally grown, raised, and made foods, meet the farmers, growers, and chefs behind your food, plus learn new skills that keep you eating locally throughout the year. Check out all of our events (and more). Let’s celebrate!

Staff Survey Says

We recently completed our bi-annual staff survey. Despite the challenges of this past year and a half, the survey results showed Co-op staff generally experiencing high levels of job satisfaction. Staff overwhelmingly felt recognized for their work and would recommend our Co-op as a good place to work.

We use a third-party consultant to conduct our survey to ensure anonymity and encourage honest feedback. The consultant shared that over 40% of our survey results were rated in the top quartile of food co-ops across the country. Also, he shared that our Co-op staff demonstrated a high level of engagement in their work. We are grateful for our staff and their positive feedback.

Each survey highlights opportunities for improvement. We’ve identified several areas to focus on in the coming months. We look forward to continuing our work to be the best employer we can be.

COVID-19 Update

We continue to follow the news on the COVID-19 pandemic and the latest round of CDC guidelines. Unfortunately, the Delta variant is capturing headlines, and nationwide COVID rates are rising. For example, Florida reported 21,683 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, the state’s highest one-day total since the start of the pandemic, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

This isn’t the news we were hoping for. We’ll continue to assess the situation. Fortunately, for now, rates are low in our area and haven’t reached the “substantial” or “high” COVID-19 transmission level where the CDC recommends wearing masks indoors. Caution will be required in the weeks ahead, and for now, we encourage anyone who wishes to wear a face covering while inside our store to do so.
