We’re so proud to announce that the Monadnock Food Co-op named Susan Ashworth the 2018 Cooperator of the Year during our Annual Meeting & Celebration.

This award is given out annually to recognize a member-owner, vendor, staff member or co-op partner who exemplifies cooperative values, integral to cooperatives throughout the world. These values include self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, solidarity, honesty, social responsibility, openness, and caring for others.

The co-op recognized Ashworth for her six years of serving on the Monadnock Food Co-op Board and her four decades of employment at Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services in Keene directing Meals on Wheels, the Keene Friendly Bus, and the Friendly Meals Senior Dining Programs.

“Susan’s dedication to our co-operative principles and values has helped to make our community what it is today,” said Jay Smeltz, Monadnock Food Co-op’s Board of Directors Secretary.
