We are very excited about this year’s Annual Meeting! It will be held at the Courtyard Marriott (beside the Co-op) on October 23 at 4 pm. The venue change from Heberton Hall was necessary due to the huge effort it took to create the space for our meeting. The Marriott will be doing most of the set up work for us, is allowing us to have the Co-op kitchen provide appetizers for the event, and will be serving our co-op’s new cooperative-to-cooperative direct and Fair Trade wine, La Riojana.
This year’s theme is “Impact”! In a TED-talk style format, you will hear about the impact of the sustainability project underway within the store from Megan Straughen, from the owner of Saxy Chef LLC, Aubrey Saxton, on how the Co-op has impacted her business, and our third speaker will address the potential impact the co-op could have in the future.
Come join us and enjoy appetizers, hear about the Co-op’s continued success, and learn how the Co-op is impacting the local community.
