Your Co-op is more than a grocery store, it is a democratic system that is one piece of a global movement to empower people to work together to meet the needs of their families and their communities. As a Monadnock Food Co-op member, how much do you know about the inner workings of your Coop and its governance? If your answer is, “Not as much as I’d like,” then please join us for a peak behind the curtains on Thursday, May 14th, at 5:30 PM at the Railroad Square Senior Housing Conference Room.
We will give a quick overview of our Policy Governance structure, the relationships between members, the Board of Directors, and the store’s General Manager and management team. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and visit informally withcurrent members of the Board of Directors and learn more about the process of becoming a Board member. Refreshments from our new catering menu will be provided.
All current and future members of the Co-op are encouraged to attend this gathering and find out more about the Co-op difference. Our Co-op has already made a great positive difference in our community, and the more our members share our vision and priorities, the stronger our Co-op will be! The Board of Directors hopes to see a positive response to this opportunity to engage and educate our members about how our Co-op works, and we plan to create future opportunities for our members to learn and participate in shaping the Co-op’s future. We also invite you to tell us, how would you like to connect with us?
RSVP is appreciated, but not required. Event open to all!
