Shoppers at the Monadnock Food Co-op collectively donated $5,622.38 to support Monadnock Farm to School Network, a branch of the New Hampshire Farm to School Network. THANK YOU!
On April 1, 2022, the Monadnock Food Co-op launched a month-long Round It Up Donation Drive to support Monadnock Farm to School Network, a branch of the New Hampshire Farm to School Network.
The benefits of farm to school programs include supporting current and future farmers, building healthy eating habits, and enhancing school curriculum. According to the National Farm to School Network, students who participate in hands-on, farm to school activities, triple the amount of fruit and vegetables they consume. “Round It Up funds will support the continued development of Monadnock Farm to School Network, sharing resources and learning to strengthen and build farm to school programs in the region,” said NH Farm to School Program Coordinator Stacy Purslow. “The area is home to fantastic partners who are leading the effort, including Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition, Cornucopia Project, and Stonewall Farm.”
The Co-op’s Round It Up program empowers shoppers to make positive changes in their community by donating their change to local community organizations and causes.
