Why is our co-op hot bar, grab & go, and deli case food so popular? We think it’s Tim’s passion for dishes made with fresh local ingredients that taste like the comfort of home.
The Basics
Department: Prepared Foods
Current Position: Kitchen Supervisor
Years at our Co-op: 5+
Special Skill/Hidden Talent: Music! I’m a guitar player (17 years and going) and collector – I currently have 5 guitars and a mandolin, and I sing. Those who know me best know how much I love karaoke.
Favorite Product: I don’t know that I can pick a favorite…I buy nearly all my groceries here! The Woodstock Hardwood Charcoal (sold in our meat department) works great in my smoker at home.
Favorite Co-op Event: Our hosted Community BBQs are my absolute favorite. I love seeing the people enjoy the food we provide.
Digging Deeper
Favorite thing about our co-op? I’m very proud of our co-op’s devotion to being an active part in supporting and serving the community. It’s a part of every decision we make, and it’s personal because that devotion goes into all of the food we make. It’s also great to know that we get to work with and serve the highest quality sourced food in the region every day.
What do you love most about the new Prep Food kitchen? I love all our new toys, but I especially love the new smoker. I can’t wait to get it cranking this summer for our Community Dinners and BBQs!
Hometown? Hard to say – really, all of Cheshire/Hillsborough County is my hometown. We bounced around a lot. Of all the places around here I’ve had the opportunity to call home, I think Harrisville would be my favorite. It felt untouched by much of the outside world, NH’s own Shire.
The Fun Stuff
Soup or sandwich? I do like soup, but this one’s easy – sandwich. However, you can’t beat a Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup; one wouldn’t be the same without the other.
What is your favorite comfort food or family recipe? Pizza, Mac & Cheese, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Bolognese, Lasagna, Pizza, Chicken Pot Pie, Shepherd’s Pie…did I mention Pizza?
What do you do to relax? Hiking, mountain and trail biking, exploring, and I read a lot. Mostly Sci-Fi, same with my television or movie choices, but I enjoy a great deal more than that. The best place in the world to relax is at my family home in Kennebunkport, ME, right on the coast next to the tidal river. Oh, and I’m definitely a big fan of video games.
Any hobbies outside of work? When it’s warm, you’ll find me biking around and exploring different areas of the region. Climbing Monadnock, all the different trails – you’ll see something different every time.
Any other fun facts you want to share? My girlfriend Becca (shown above!) is the Bar Manager at Machina Kitchen & Art Bar! She puts her heart and soul into her cocktails/mocktails, so go see her on a Saturday night!
