Coronavirus Update: Temporary Change in Hours

There truly is no better time for us to recognize that we are Stronger Together. Thank you for supporting and shopping at our co-op during this time. We take pride in serving our community fresh, local, and healthy food during these challenging times.

We continue to respond to our rapidly evolving reality as quickly as we can — always keeping the safety of our staff and community in mind. Please review our latest list of temporary changes and visit our website for the latest updates. Together we can #stopthespread.

Temporary Change in Store Hours

We will temporarily change our store hours starting Tuesday, March 31. Our new hours are 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Mondays – Saturdays, and 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Sundays. We will utilize these hours to replenish our back stock, fill the shelves in our grab-n-go coolers and refrigerated cases, and start the next day fully stocked. We’ll also use this time to more deeply clean and sanitize each department.

Bags and Containers

To protect our staff, until further notice, we are no longer allowing customers to bring reusable bags or containers into the store to use in the bulk aisle, beverage bar, or produce department. You may still bring clean reusable containers to fill with water at our reverse osmosis machine. Paper bags and cardboard boxes are still available at our co-op to pack groceries. Please do not bring your paper bags or cardboard boxes from home.

Return Policy Changes

Out of concern for the health of our community, we are not able to accept any item returns at this time (including refunds, store credits, and product exchanges). If any fresh product does not meet your standards or was spoiled or bad before its sell-by date, we will replace the item or issue a refund/credit. We are simply asking that you dispose of the product at home and bring us a receipt or speak with a manager so we can make it right.

Recycling

Temporarily, to reduce the risk of spreading germs, we have suspended all of our in-store recycling options for customers. Behind the scenes, our staff will continue safely composting and recycling cardboard and plastic.

Curbside Pick-Up

We are still working to implement a limited Curbside Pick-Up program for seniors and people at risk, but we haven’t launched it yet. If this is something that is of interest to you, please fill out this short form. We will follow up with you directly if we can get this program up and off the ground. Please know that we understand how important this offering is, but our operations are severely strained by this crisis. We need to address other critical areas first before fully exploring how to implement this new program.

Guidelines for Safe Shopping

  • Please stay home if you’re sick.
  • One person per party, please.
  • Keep 6 feet distance between yourself and others.
  • No outside bags or containers (except for RO water machine).
  • Only touch products you intend to purchase.
  • Shop quickly and efficiently. If you must socialize, please do so outdoors.
  • Consider ways to minimize shopping trips for your neighbors and family.
  • Do not reach over employees or other shoppers to retrieve an item.
  • Be mindful of the Plexiglas shields installed to protect the health and safety of both employees and shoppers.
  • Give employees space in the aisle to stock the shelf before shopping in that area.
  • Share any complaints or concerns through the appropriate channels.

We appreciate all that everyone is doing to remain flexible and positive during this challenging time. If you have a concern, please ask for a manager or contact us here and we’ll be glad to listen and help where we can.
