Are You Our Next New Board Member?

Do you pore over the Monadnock Food Co-op sale flyer when it arrives in the mail? Have you attended a Co-op event and learned something new? Do you use the Co-op Café as a meeting place with friends or colleagues? Do you feel inspired to be part of a values-driven community grocery store that supports positive initiatives in our community?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, perhaps you are our next new member of the Board of Directors!

Our monthly meetings, held on the third Monday of every month, are lively, informative, and engaging. We work to support our General Manager to effectively guide our thriving Co-op. We monitor the Co-op’s progress and help set its future course. The board is often the starting place to support new initiatives related to health and growth.

The board is seeking two or three candidates for the fall election cycle. Your three-year board term puts you at the heart of the Co-op and includes opportunities to develop your leadership skills and contribute to a thriving enterprise working hard each day to offer healthy local foods, to support local food producers, to create an engaging work environment, and to contribute to the overall health of our community.

If you would like to learn more about board service, please visit the Board of Directors page on our website. You’ll learn about the role of the board, the qualifications for membership, and the process of becoming a board member.  You can also send us a note of inquiry at [email protected].

Please consider joining us at our next board meeting on Monday, June 19 at 4:45 pm in the Community Room at the Co-op. The first part of the meeting is always open to Co-op members and it’s a great place to ask your questions and to express your interest.  Just email us at [email protected] to let us know you’re coming.

Thanks for all you already do to make the Co-op a valuable and dynamic part of our community. We hope you will consider service on the board!
