One Way to Serve

This is the time of year when your Co-op Board of Directors starts looking towards the Fall and preparing for the election of three new board members. Active participation of member-owners is vital to our co-op’s success and future growth. Serving on the board is one way to contribute.

Our Nominating Committee is working to find qualified candidates with an interest in serving as directors. If you feel dedicated to the co-op, its member-owners and the co-op’s mission, we would love to hear from you.

Our board consists of nine members, each serving a three year term. Elections are held in the fall, culminating at our Annual Meeting in October.

New this year will be an informal Candidate Info Session between 6:30 & 8pm on June 12 to give an overview of what being a board member looks like. If you have any interest in running for the board (this year or in the future) please come and find out what it’s all about. We will be giving a short presentation and answering any questions that people have about the election process, director responsibilities and expectations. You do not have to be a candidate to attend – this is a meeting designed to give information and stir enthusiasm – and there will be refreshments.

If you personally are not interested in running, then maybe you know a member-owner who would be an asset to our board? Please email your recommendations to us at [email protected].
