Music & Art in the Emerson Brook Forest Celebration
Join The Sustainability Project on Sunday, September 29th from 10am – 2pm for its Annual Music and Art in the Forest Celebration! As always, it all takes place at the wheelchair accessible Emerson Brook Forest Center, 57 Emerson Brook Drive in Gilsum.
During the event, participants can choose to partake in several activities including: Forest Bathing, a slow moving sensory mindfulness exploration of the forest with certified Forest Therapy Guide, Brian Bishoff; The Core Routines for Connecting with Nature led by Lenoir Law and Valerie Piedmont; or Nature-base Writing with Diana Damato.
Concurrent with the Music and Art in the Forest celebration, visitors will have the opportunity to see the “Clay Heads” by Sculptor, Susan O’Hara (1935-2015), and “Deportees: A Tribute”, featuring works on paper by NH Printmaker, Erika Radich.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and to share their artistic creations, spontaneous music, poetry and movement. At the end of the day there will be a tour of the Clay Heads exhibit at Valerie’s nearby wheelchair accessible house. Light refreshments will be served.
While there is no admission fee, donations to The Sustainability Project support nature based community programming.
