Round It Up Donation Drive for Monadnock Cooperative Community Fund

The Monadnock Food Co-op held a month-long Round It Up Donation Drive to benefit the Monadnock Cooperative Community Fund in October 2020.  Co-op shoppers contributed $4,681.88 to our fund.

Since we received at least $2,000 in Round It Up donations to our Monadnock Cooperative Community Fund (MCCF), our co-op will donate $1,000 to our fund. Plus, we received another $1,000 donation, thanks to a partnership with Equal Exchange and Frontier Co-op. Therefore, in total, our Round It Up Drive resulted in a $6,681.88 contribution to MCCF.  Thank you!

Established in 2016, the Monadnock Cooperative Community Fund is managed by the Twin Pines Cooperative Foundation. This foundation pools contributions from over 40 cooperative funds to support cooperative development throughout the United States, including co-ops right here in New Hampshire through the NH Community Loan Fund. Monadnock Food Co-op donates investment income from the Monadnock Cooperative Community Fund to local nonprofits.

“Donating to this fund is a win-win strategy,” said Michael Faber, Monadnock Food Co-op General Manager. “The fund directly supports the development of co-ops in our state, plus we donate the interest earned from our fund to local nonprofits in our community.”

The Co-op’s Round It Up program empowers shoppers to make a positive change in their community by donating their change to local nonprofits.
