The Monadnock Food Co-op named Jack Dugan, retired President of Monadnock Economic Development Corporation, the 2021 Cooperator of the Year during our Annual Meeting & Celebration.
Our Cooperator of the Year Award is given out annually to recognize a member-owner, vendor, staff member, or co-op partner who exemplifies cooperative values, integral to cooperatives throughout the world. These values include self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, solidarity, honesty, social responsibility, openness, and caring for others.
The Co-op recognized Jack for all of his support going all the way back to 2010. He connected us to critical resources and provided financing to help construct our store. More recently, he played a pivotal role in supporting our expansion, helping us overcome obstacles and expand into an adjacent vacant lot.
“If you live in the area, undoubtedly you’ve heard of the positive impacts Jack Dugan has had on our community,” shared Michael Faber, Monadnock Food Co-op General Manager. “Few know the behind-the-scenes work that Jack did for our Co-op. Without his help, our Co-op would not be where it is today, quite literally.”
Thank you, Jack!
