What kind of tractor has many feet, is budget-friendly, and helps the planet? Blackfire Farm’s chicken tractor! Join us on June 22nd for a hands-on mobile chicken tractor-building workshop in partnership with Blackfire Farm !

During this workshop, participants will learn about Farmers Liz and Doug’s Joel Salatin-inspired mobile chicken tractor design that Blackfire Farm uses to rotationally graze their chickens. This custom design is 6’ x 8’ and is engineered for ease of transport, durability, and is budget-friendly! Participants will get hands-on experience building a chicken tractor for Stonewall Farm’s chickens as well as get to chat with Farmers Liz and Doug about pasture raising chickens.

Blackfire Farm in Hancock, NH offers holistically grown vegetables, pasture-raised meat, CSA shares, and farm-to-fire wood-fired pizza. Their growing system is intended to sequester carbon in the soil and create food that is actively regenerative to the environment. Their soy-free Freedom Ranger chickens are pasture raised and moved to new pastures twice daily using chicken tractors.
