The Community Kitchen of Keene serves approximately 540 families a week through their Pantry Program and 485 people a week through the Hot Meals Program – the elderly, people struggling with illness, people who rely upon this food to make ends meet, even working two or three jobs but still unable to reliably feed their children.
This year the Community Kitchen is struggling to raise as much as in previous years in order to meet our community’s need. The Monadnock Food Co-op is partnering with them to facilitate donations from our customers in three ways during December:
- Our Round Up Donation Drive allows customers to round up their purchases and donate small amounts of cash so the Community Kitchen can purchase wholesale produce and staples for their hot meals program. Cashiers will ask customers if they want to round-up during December.
- We are participating in the Fenton Family Food Drive on Saturday December 3rd from 9am-2pm.
We are deeply grateful for your generous participation in these events!
