Round It Up for the Community Kitchen

We launched a month-long Round It Up Donation Drive to benefit The Community Kitchen of Keene in December 2019.  The Co-op’s Round It Up program empowers shoppers to make positive change in their community by donating their change. Last December, the community helped raise $7,496 for The Community Kitchen through the Co-op’s Round It Up program.

The money raised at the Co-op in December will help the Community Kitchen feed an average of 7,000 people a month through their Hot Meals and Pantry Programs.

According to Feeding America, 1 in 11 people struggle with hunger in New Hampshire.  The Community Kitchen plays a vital role in ensuring that more of our community members have access to healthy nutritious food for themselves and their families.

“The holiday season is an important time to reflect on all that we have and share what we can,” said James Holcomb, Monadnock Food Co-op Events and Marketing Coordinator. “Our Round It Up program is one of many ways we give back to our community. Each customer’s contribution quickly adds up and results in a sizable and much-appreciated donation.”
