The Monadnock Food Co-op will hold a month-long Round It Up donation drive for the Keene Serenity Center‘s Recipe for Recovery Program during November 2019. Customers can round up their change at the register to support the local organization.
The Keene Serenity’s Recipe for Recovery Program will offer workshops that bring people in long-term recovery together with people new to the recovery process to learn healthy eating habits as they share a community meal. These workshops will include mastering the basics of budgeting, planning, shopping, and preparing healthy foods.
“We are thrilled to have the support of the Monadnock Food Co-op,” said Jocelyn Goldblatt of the Serenity Center. “Both the Co-op and the Serenity Center understand the connection between community and food — and the importance of each for health and well-being. Local foods, local business, and local neighbors all working on regenerative efforts is the simplest and most elegant form of sustainability and is exactly what recovery is all about.”
