Our co-op will launch a Round It Up Donation Drive to benefit Food Connects from March 1 to March 22, 2020. Please note that we’re pausing this drive for Food Connects — and switching to a Round It Up Donation Drive for the Monadnock United Way COVID-19 Relief Fund on Monday, March 23.
The Co-op’s Round It Up program empowers shoppers to make positive change in their community by donating their change. Food Connects is an entrepreneurial non-profit on a mission to create healthy families, thriving farms, and connected communities.
Now, there are two ways to support Food Connects in March. At the register through our co-op’s Round It Up Drive AND online through the Food Connects TLC Monadnock crowdfunding campaign.
The Food Connects Food Hub program partners with local farmers and food producers throughout the Monadnock Region, including Frisky Cow Gelato, Echo Farm Puddings, and Picadilly Farm. Food Connects helps these businesses share their bounty with schools, grocery stores, hospitals, restaurants, and other businesses across the region — like the Monadnock Food Co-op!
“We are so thrilled and grateful to be a recipient of the Monadnock Food Co-op’s Round It Up program,” said Richard Berkfield, Executive Director and Founder of Food Connects. “The Monadnock Food Co-op is a vital partner and plays a critical role in the work that we do. This past fiscal year, the co-op was our largest customer, helping us increase access to local food and growing local farms in the Monadnock Region and beyond.”
