The project will conserve 55 acres of farmland and forests\, including a high glacial drumlin that offers excellent grazing pasture and outstanding scenic views. Farmer\, Milton Trimitsis\, purchased this land in 2016 and now raises more than 200 sheep and 300 free-range laying hens. He uses high-intensity\, short-rotation grazing practices\, with the sheep guided from field to field by his border collies. DESCRIPTION:Join Monadnock Peer Support at the Monadnock Food Co-op on the second Wednesday of each month at 11 am. \nAbout Monadnock Peer Support: \nMonadnock Peer Support was founded in 1995 as an alternative that complements and supplements the traditional mental health system. They are a member-driven organization that provides opportunities for people who experience mental health issues to support one another in moving towards what they want in life. They also establish a culture in which their members and participants feel more empowered and less dependent on traditional mental health care. \nThey also have a warm line\, a free\, confidential\, non-medical peer support call line. DESCRIPTION:The garden of your dreams starts on Saturday\, February 28th\, with the 19th Annual Seed Celebration and Sustainable Community Fair\, 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. at the Gilsum STEAM Academy\, 640 Route 10\, Gilsum\, NH. \nCome for the day\, or just an hour\, to celebrate the miracle of seeds and gardening with The Sustainability Project. Farmers\, gardeners\, and activists working for sustainable and regenerative ways of living on the planet have come to know this event as a great opportunity for joyful networking. Participants will have the opportunity to receive support planning their gardens and stock up on seeds. There will be lunchtime music and a café featuring soups\, stews and baked goods from local restaurants and kitchens\, including Orchard Hill Breads\, to nourish all.
