Gain the confidence and real-life skills needed for living a full\, healthy life with chronic conditions. \nIf you or someone you care for has a chronic health condition such as diabetes\, asthma\, arthritis\, COPD\, depression\, or hypertension this workshop is for you! \nIn this program you will: \n\nDiscover problem-solving strategies to deal with fatigue\, pain and frustration\nUncover physical activities that work for you\nUnderstand appropriate use of medications and how to evaluate new treatments\nDiscover how healthy eating can improve your condition\nImprove ways to talk with your family\, friends and healthcare providers about your health\nBenefit from the support and encouragement from others also living with chronic health conditions\n\nWorkshop Dates\n\nAugust 13\, 2024\nAugust 20\, 2024\nAugust 27\, 2024\nSeptember 3\, 2024\nSeptember 10\, 2024\nSeptember 17\, 2024\n\nWorkshop Info\nThis workshop is a weekly series of six (6) dates\, held consecutively. This is an in-person workshop where each 2½ hour session builds on the previous week and full participation in the 6 weeks is highly encouraged. This workshop is co-lead by Leaders trained in the evidence-based Stanford Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. \nPre-Registration is required as space is limited. DESCRIPTION:The City of Keene invites all businesses\, property owners\, and residents affected by the upcoming Downtown Infrastructure Project to attend one of three informational meetings on June 25th. The meetings will focus on project phasing\, construction management\, and gathering community input to minimize construction impacts. \nDate: June 25\, 2024 \nTimes: \n\nSession 1: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM\nSession 2: 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM\nSession 3: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM\n\n(All three sessions will cover the same content – people can attend the session that best fits their own schedule.) \nLocation: Keene Public Library\, Ruth Huntress Auditorium \nContent: \n\nReview of project work limits for all three phases.\nDiscussion of traffic management and parking plans during each phase.\nSolicitation of community input on operating hours\, delivery schedules\, special access requirements\, and other factors that could be affected by construction.\n\nWe understand this project will impact the downtown community\, We will work closely with businesses and residents to minimize impacts and maintain open communications during the project. Everyone’s input is invaluable in helping us achieve this goal. \nProject details are available online for public review at KeeneNH.gov/downtown.
