SUMMARY:Menopause & Midlife Health: A Whole Body Approach to Feeling Like Yourself Again
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a FREE wellness lecture with Dr Gene Clerkin!\nMenopause is often talked about as a simple aging issue\, but for many women\, the experience goes far beyond that. \nHot flashes\, brain fog\, weight gain\, sleep disruption\, mood changes… these symptoms can feel frustrating\, confusing\, and at times overwhelming. And while traditional medicine approaches may focus on antidepressants or managing hormones alone\, they often overlook the bigger picture of what’s happening in the body. \nIn this talk\, Dr. Gene Clerkin of Monadnock Natural Health will share a different perspective\, one rooted in over 30 years of working with women navigating these changes. \nRather than focusing on menopause as something to “fix\,” Dr. Gene will explore how stress\, digestion\, inflammation\, and overall body function all play a huge role in how these symptoms show up and how your body moves through this transition. \nYou’ll learn:\n• Why menopause symptoms are often about more than just aging\n• How stress and the nervous system impact hot flashes\, sleep\, and mood\n• The role digestion and detoxification play in hormone balance\n• Simple\, practical ways to support your body naturally \nThis is not about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. It’s about understanding your unique body and system\, supporting it\, and creating the conditions where it can function at its best. Because when your body is supported\, this transition can become not something to fear\, but an opportunity to feel better than you have in years! \nRSVP here!

SUMMARY:How Well Is Your Nervous System Adapting?
DESCRIPTION:A Complimentary Nervous System Screening with Cheshire Wellness Center in MFC’s Cafe!\n\nYou can eat well\, stay active\, and do many of the right things for your health while still feeling stressed\, tired\, tense\, or unable to reach the level of well-being you know is possible.\n\n\nSometimes the missing piece is not effort. It is how much tension the nervous system may be carrying and how clearly the body is communicating.\n\n\nVisit the Cheshire Wellness Center team at Monadnock Food Co-op for a complimentary nervous system screening. A gentle\, noninvasive thermal scan provides a visual window into patterns of autonomic nervous system function. The doctors will review the scan with you and use a nerve chart to explore how those patterns may correlate with areas of tension\, stress\, or symptoms you already recognize.\n\n\nThe scan is not a diagnosis. It is an educational opportunity to become more curious about how your nervous system may be influencing the way you feel\, function\, and experience life.
