SUMMARY:Monadnock Food Co-op Community Book Club
DESCRIPTION:The Monadnock Food Co-op (MFC) Community Book Club aims to create a space for community engagement amongst Co-op Member-Owners and the larger community through thoughtful connections. We strive to be a space that will engage and foster civil dialogue through reading and discussion. \nThe group typically convenes on the first Monday of every month\, with exceptions for extenuating circumstances\, on the Co-op Patio (weather permitting) from 6pm to 7:30pm. \nTogether\, they collaboratively choose the title for the following month. \nTo learn what the group has been reading since early 2022 visit\, monadnockfood.coop/co-op-updates/bookclub/ \nIn August\, the group will explore The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong. \nIf you facing challenges purchasing the book\, please email community@monadnockfood.coop \nGroup Agreements \nBe present & engaged.\nHave grace with others in the group & ourselves.\nConsider power dynamics.\nListen with respect.\nAcknowledge our impact & recognize intent.\nSit with discomfort.\nRespect confidentiality.\nExamine the harm or danger of a single story.\nNotice patterns of participation.
