Kitchen 2.0: A Virtual Cooking Series for Kids – December
December 21, 2020 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pmFree
Are you ready for this winter wonderland?
You guessed it! Our class on December 21 is Sweet Treats for the holidays. Perfect as gifts or just something to munch on with the family.
This month, we are making three recipes over the course of an hour and a half (don’t worry—they all fit in)! You do not have to make all recipes. We will start with the Frying Pan Cookies (which take the length of the class) then move on to the Peppermint Patties, and then the Minty Reindeer Chow. Please free free to sub in vegan versions of the dairy or different nuts if you want—the recipes work with those variations!
You will want to soften your butter and unwrap your Andes mints in advance. View the food list, supply list, and recipe here.
Does your child love to cook? Or do they have a curiosity and desire to help while you’re in the kitchen? Then sign them up for Kitchen 2.0.
Presenter, Laura Carbonneau will share valuable cooking skills that build confidence in the kitchen while making delicious and nutritious foods. Children will learn everything from measuring and knife skills to various cooking techniques and garnishing.
This event is free, but registration is required. Registrants will receive the recipe, shopping list, and supply list prior to the class. This series is designed for students in grades 3 – 12, but it’s recommended that children in grades 3 – 5 have adult supervision.
