Early November Co-op Building Update

Construction of the Co-op building continues to progress well.  As the builders make progress on the exterior frame, our excitement builds. The exterior wall framing began this week and the roof and insulation installation begins later this week.

While the construction moves along, we were thankful for a visit this week from Rob Martin of the National Cooperative Grocers Association (NCGA, based in Minneapolis).  Rob and NCGA will provide the technical expertise needed to transition our Co-op from the planning stage to the opening of our store.

This week, with Rob’s help, we updated our project timeline, equipment list and delivery schedule. Speaking of equipment, we recently placed our refrigeration equipment order and expect our walk in coolers and freezers will be on-site later in November. More building updates in two weeks!
