Our Top 5 Ways to Shift Your Shopping

1.  Do you make your own gifts? Buy your craft supplies from locally owned businesses like Creative Encounters.

2. Gift a membership to a local nonprofit such as Stonewall Farm or to your local cooperatively owned business, the Monadnock Food Co-op. *Check out our Shift Your Shopping Promotion*

3. Shop at local art and craft shows like the Orchard School’s 17th Annual Craft Fair on December 7th & 8th in Walpole.

4.  Give someone new to buying locally a gift certificate to your favorite locally owned business or farmers’ market. Get them hooked on the Buy Local spirit!

5. Pay with cash to keep more of our money recirculating in our local economy.  If you don’t have cash, pay by check (hopefully via a local credit union or community bank) or debit card. Local merchants pay up to seven times more in fees when you use a credit card.
