Get to know a little bit about the Management Team at the Monadnock Food Co-op.
General Manager: Michael Faber
Michael has extensive co-op experience and a longstanding connection with the Monadnock Region. He has served as General Manager of Wild Oats Cooperative Market in Williamstown, MA since 2007, and before that was Store Manager of the Berkshire Co-op Market in Great Barrington, MA.*
HR Manager: Sue Ells
Sue has worked in Keene as an HR Manager for over 25 years, and she also has experience in accounting, marketing and management. She is treasurer for the Greater Monadnock Society for Human Resource Management.
Finance Manager: Gary Tochterman
Gary has over 35 years of financial leadership, previously having served as Controller for United Natural Foods, The Timken Company and MARKEM Corporation. He is a CPA and started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co.
Marketing Manager: Emerald Levick
Emerald is deeply passionate about strengthening the local food system. She worked as Coordinator for Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition, is involved with her family’s farm business, Monadnock Berries in Troy, NH, and has been a Local Forager and Marketing Assistant for Whole Foods Market.
Store Manager: Bob Carter
With 18 years experience in the food/retail industry, Bob joins the Monadnock Food Co-op after working for United Natural Foods Inc. in Chesterfield, NH and, prior to that, as a manager at Altomonte’s Market – a specialty foods market in Pennsylvania.
Assistant Store Manager: Stephanie Wright
With many years of experience in retail, Stephanie has most recently proven her success at Eastern Mountain Sports in Peterborough.
POS/IT Coordinator: Pam Croteau
Pam held this same position at the Brattleboro Food Co-op, where her technical expertise helped them smoothly transition their IT infrastructure to the new store. Previously, Pamela worked as Support Services Coordinator at Fitz, Vogt & Associates in Walpole.
Meat & Seafood Manager: Matt West
Matt previously worked as butcher at the Walpole Grocery and meat cutter at Paul’s Choice. He has over eight years of experience in the meat and seafood industry, and has extensive experience with and knowledge of seafood and deli products.
Customer Service Manager: Kerry Kelley
Kerry worked at United Natural Foods, Inc. in Chesterfield, where she was a Purchasing Associate. She also served as Teller Supervisor at Granite Bank in Keene, before running her own day care service.
Prepared Foods Manager: Susanne Fortier
Susanne has an extensive background in every aspect of food service from chef to catering to managing large kitchens. Prior to the Co-op, she was Chef Manager at The World Learning Center in Brattleboro.
Produce Manager: Emily Lefebvre
Emily’s background includes culinary experience and a degree in Business Management. She has a passion for good food, community, and local business.
Grocery Manager: Chris Burkheimer
Chris has a long history of local sourcing, buying and merchandising from places like Woodstock Farmer’s Market, Healthy Living Market, and Hunger Mountain Co-op. He is constantly introducing us all to new and interesting local products.
