Get to know a little bit about the Management Team at the Monadnock Food Co-op.
General Manager: Michael Faber
Michael has extensive co-op experience and a longstanding connection with the Monadnock Region. He has served as General Manager of Wild Oats Cooperative Market in Williamstown, MA since 2007, and before that was Store Manager of the Berkshire Co-op Market in Great Barrington, MA.*
HR Manager: Sue Ells
Sue has worked in Keene as an HR Manager for over 25 years, and she also has experience in accounting, marketing and management. She is treasurer for the Greater Monadnock Society for Human Resource Management.
Finance Manager: Lois Haskins
Lois worked at Markem Corporation as the Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer. She brings over 25 years of financial experience to the Co-op.
Marketing/Membership Manager: Jen Risley
Jen volunteered since 2008 with the co-op, helping create our website and monthly e-updates, and maintaining our social media presence. She most recently worked as Education Coordinator for the Hannah Grimes Center and Social Media Consultant for Peter Harris Creative.
POS/IT Coordinator: Pam Croteau
Pam held this same position at the Brattleboro Food Co-op, where her technical expertise helped them smoothly transition their IT infrastructure to the new store. Previously, Pamela worked as Support Services Coordinator at Fitz, Vogt & Associates in Walpole.
Meat & Seafood Manager: Matt West
Matt previously worked as butcher at the Walpole Grocery and meat cutter at Paul’s Choice. He has over eight years of experience in the meat and seafood industry, and has extensive experience with and knowledge of seafood and deli products.
Produce Manager: Nicholas Shemchuk
Nicholas previously held the position of Wholesale Produce Manager at Altas Farm in Deerfield, MA. He brings over a decade of experience in ordering, managing and tracking inventory.
Prepared Foods Manager: Virgil Wetmore
Virgil served as Deli Supervisor at the Brattleboro Food Co-op prior to joining our co-op. This experience combined with his passion for cooperative businesses make him an incredible asset to the co-op.
Customer Service Manager: Kerry Kelley
Kerry worked at United Natural Foods, Inc. in Chesterfield, where she was a Purchasing Associate. She also served as Teller Supervisor at Granite Bank in Keene, before running her own day care service.
Wellness Buyer: Jen Young
Jen’s background includes working as an Herbarium Assistant at Antioch University New England. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar.
Cheese Buyer: Agela Abdullah
Agela served as Chef at Sweet Clover Market in Essex, VT, and before that worked as an Assistant Buyer for Pastoral Artisan Cheese Bread & Wine in Chicago, IL.
