After a nationwide search, the Monadnock Food Co-op hired its second staff member and first Marketing and Membership Manager, Jen Risley.
Jen has extensive experience and a longstanding connection with the Monadnock Region. When it comes to advocating for and improving the buy local movement, Jen has done just about everything.
Most recently she worked as Education Coordinator for the Hannah Grimes Center and Social Media Consultant for Peter Harris Creative. She also served on the Founding Board of the Monadnock Food Co-op, Steering Committee for Monadnock Farm & Community Connection, Chair of Monadnock Buy Local and Co-Chair of the Keene Young Professionals Network.
This experience, along with a passion for local food and commitment to building community, makes her the perfect fit for this position.
“We couldn’t be more excited about hiring Jen. I can’t think of anyone who had more impact on the local movement than Jen,” said Monadnock Food Co-op General Manager, Michael Faber. “And to have her join our team to help us accomplish those same goals is huge for us.”
Jen’s first day of work will be January 2, 2013.
