Title: Volunteer Coordinator (Volunteer Position)

Purpose: Recruits, assists in training, and manages volunteers for various co-op projects

Location: Monadnock Community Market Co-op office; Hannah Grimes Center, 25 Roxbury Street – Suite C, Keene, NH 03431

Key Responsibilities:
1.    Work with other Project Manager and Committees to identify tasks that can be done by volunteers
2.    Recruit volunteers to commit to one-day, short-term, and long-term volunteer projects
3.    Match individual volunteers to specific volunteer roles based on skills and interests
4.    Establish and regularly update volunteer schedule and list of events
5.    Communicate regularly with volunteers through check-in phone calls, e-mails, and personal appreciations for their efforts
6.    Positively represent the co-op when interacting with members, supporters, and community members at events

Qualifications:
1.    Dependability and ability to follow through on commitments
2.    Strong attention to detail
3.    Ability to manage and identify appropriate roles for volunteers
4.    Ability to clearly communicate with volunteers
5.    Previous experience managing volunteers or extensive personal experience as a volunteer
6.    Prior experience with food co-ops a plus

Anticipated Weekly Time Commitment: Approximately 10-12 hours
