How to Grow a Totally Organic Garden

April 19 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free workshop!  Registration Required!  Click here to register.

In today’s world, people are becoming more and more concerned with what they put into their mouths. Where does this food come from? Are there any GMOs? Were pesticides sprayed here or nearby?

What better way is there to take control of our eating than by growing some of our own food? We can give our plants additional soil amenities to provide extra nutrients for ourselves and our families. We can stay grounded by handling and caring for our plants. And the flavor! Nothing beats homegrown fruits and vegetables.

Plus, the health benefits are astronomical. Fresh picked has more vitamins and minerals than anything that is found in a store.  Give your family the edge for health—grow your own. Because, health, after all, is the greatest wealth.

This is a presentation on how to grow a beautiful garden. With over 100 color pictures designed to provide insights and how-to information on soil preparation, planting, weeding, thinning and harvesting, this gives participants the tools that they need to plant and maintain a garden.

Celeste Longacre is the author of “Celeste’s Garden Delights.” She is also an accomplished gardener who has been growing most of her family’s vegetables for over 35 years. Celeste preserves the garden’s bounty by canning, freezing, drying, and fermenting it as well as storing her produce in a root cellar. She and her husband, Bob, live sustainably in a handmade octagonal home. During the cold winter months, their heat is provided by the firewood that Bob cuts. Much of their electricity is generated with an array of solar panels.  For further information visit her website at www.celestelongacre.com.
